Just a heads up that I shan't be around tomorrow if any new reviews are posted.

I haven't been feeling too great lately, but I finally got one done today: http://www.metalmusicarchives.com/review/coat-of-arms/300434
I'm about to work on Carolus Rex, then Heroes will come tomorrow night or early next week, depending on how I'm feeling tomorrow, because I absolutely don't want to review that one with a cold or fever and risk not doing it justice.

Cool! Later in the month, I'll probably slow down a bit, but I'll focus on albums with no reviews, so that will help. I know I took a 3 point loss so far, but it was worth it because I initially planned on only reviewing The Art of War, but I once started listening to all their albums again, I ended up doing all of them (except The Last Stand, because I gave that one a fully fleshed out review already.)

I really couldn't believe this wasn't reviewed! I love this album. For no good reason whatsoever, EM has it as a compilation. Dickheads.

Been loving this album. Which is probably a bit obvious by the rating.

I'm quite impressed with the variety of reviews everyone is offering up, and the quality of reviewing too! And I'm also a bit surprised at some of the albums which haven't been reviewed until now!

Here's one more for the night: http://www.metalmusicarchives.com/review/narita/341822
I'm getting overwhelmed with so many awesome albums that have a lack of reviews. I need to try and go one at a time, or else my reviews won't turn out as good.

Here's a wee method I use. Get your basic idea down, then write the review the next day, or a bit later. It's what I have been doing. I got the basic idea for the Slayer one down while I was finishing Stars on Thrash. I got the basic idea down for Leaders Not Followers 2 while I was doing Seasons in the Abyss. I actually had 3 days to think about it, and also made a start on Unhindered By Talent, which I'd been thinking about previously. So yesterday, I made a start on the idea for the Xentrix review while I was working on the Sore Throat one. Today while doing Xentrix, I have made a start for a GBH review (which I'm not gonna get done today...), and also got down the basic idea for a Squash Bowels review. At the same time, I've been thinking about what else I can review. I've been thinking about Rebel Meets Rebel (has one review already, but I disagree with UMUR's opinion!), there's a second GBH I've thought of, I've been thinking about doing something for glam so have been examining that (possibly Twisted Sister or Bon Jovi), there's the two Metal For Muthas compilations, "Incesticide" by Nirvana remains unreviewed, and I've been thinking I should check out some German thrash. So yes, there's lots of good albums out there to review, but don't let it paralyse you into inaction because you can't decide what to do next. Thinking a review ahead gives me a chance to decide what I want to say so that I'm not thinking up everything while staring at the keyboard. That way lies writer's block! And to my eye, your quality of reviews has been great. |

I'll be finishing my review for the new Augury first, then looking at some more challenge reviews. Have about half a dozen possible albums in mind.

I've never listened to much Riot, but I've checked them out after reading your reviews. Some damn good stuff there.
