Just wanted to hear more opinions.

Bandcamp: http://pestrecords.bandcamp.com/album/penumbra
EM: http://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Atlases/3540433132
RYM: http://rateyourmusic.com/artist/atlases-1

I don't mind adding them myself.
Only the dead have seen the end of war.
Without music, life would be a mistake.

I'll have a listen when I can. A couple of sites though are calling this "melancholy post metal" as prog metal rather than sludge?

Yes, some blogs and webzines call it that. But I still think it's atmospheric sludge metal overall.

In my opinion:
- Track #1 is atmospheric sludge metal.
- Track #2 is the same but with more post-rock influences.
- Track #3 is post-rock.
- Track #4 is like track #2, maybe with prog metal influences.
- Track #5 is more progressive (also features death vocals and some djent parts).
Only the dead have seen the end of war.
Without music, life would be a mistake.

Okay, and you may well be right. It looks like it should be here somewhere. If you're happy that this is sludge-based post-metal, go ahead and add. I trust you Wink

I only mentioned it as I get nervous on this style of music as RYM tags all post-metal as ASM, regardless of whether the music is based in anything remotely sludge. Most subs can support post-metal (a bit like djent), although we have (wrongly in my view) used sludge as the default destination for bands we can't place in the past.
