I forgot about these polls, but here's the semi-finals. Judas Priest beat Black Sabbath 7-4, while Iron Maiden beat Motorhead 6-2. Vote your favorite, and let's see who goes to the finals and gets a chance at winning the match.

As much as I love Iron Maiden, I find Number of the Beast a bit overrated, so I went for Stained Class. Any other album by either band and I would have voted for Maiden.

This is so close for me I'll have to relisten to both albums before I can possible vote for either of them.

Think I'm giving my vote to 'Maiden...now, if Priest's 'British Steel' were up there, it might be a different story!

If British Steel were up there this would be easy for me - a easy win for Iron Maiden that is.

Don't get me wrong, I have plenty of respect for British Steel, but it's never come across to me as the classic Judas Priest album it's often made out to be. There are quite a few others I like more even if you take Painkiller and Sad Wings of Destiny out of the equation.

As much as i like Stained Class I find the production lacks the balls needed for metal but it was not untypical of the day.

I think the same goes for me. Or in the case of 70's Priest, if Sin After Sin was there I would definitely pick that.

If it had been Screaming for Vengeance, I would have gone for Priest.
A story told that can't be real somehow must reflect the truth we feel.

I´m not a huge fan of Judas Priest (with some exceptions), so Maiden it will be.
