Hello,

We, Transuranic Heavy Elements are proud to announce the release of our first studio album. The album is available for streaming and digital download on several services including Spotify, Google Play, iTunes and Bandcamp to mention a few. More services will be added.

Transuranic Heavy Elements has been active since 2015 when we first started to bring life to the concept we have been developing. A strange mixture of different genres takes you to a journey through the mind of a human being to the deepest depths of the oceans – after all, we all come from the realms beyond the stars.
Now the time is ready to come out. With releasing of the first studio album we return back to studio to work on the second album.

Transuranic Heavy Elements is:
Jani Mäntynen – Guitar, Keyboards, Vocals
Mikko Hentta – Bass
Juho Karonen – Drums, Percussion, Vocals

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Especially any opinions on the genre/subgenre we fall into.

Sounds Kinda gothic rock to me. Like The Cure or Sisters of Mercy, only a bit more interesting.

Thank you. I'm eagerly waiting for a review - how ever you like it.

Thank you. That's interesting. I've been The Cure fan since eighties, but I never realized the influences from there.

Since this is a bit "difficult" music, I'd appreciate more reviews alongside with Nightflys.

I kind of agree with Patrick - more of a post punk sound but I was hearing a more spacey Joy Division and a touch of Chrome (USA experimental post punk band).

Difficult to see you guys fitting into any of our subs to be honest, this being a metal site. You might want to try our sister site http://www.progarchives.com/ who have a psych/space rock sub if you haven't done so already?

I'm sure someone else here will take a listen though.

Good luck with the album.

Thank you. Actually I'm not suprised or shocked by the comments. I guess we have this thing, that we are too hard to be Kraut Rock and too little heavy guitars to fit into metal scene LOL
Those comments were great! That Chrome is new to me - I'm just listening to it and yes, I do hear some familiar things there.

Cheers!
Jani

I'll put it like this- yours is not the sort of music I would go out and buy myself, but if I heard you playing in a bar, I would go in and listen.

Thanks! If you don't forbid me I'll save these comments (you both commenters) for reference - they are great! And I guess they are just right.

To get back to why I first approached this forum: I have always been a metal head - a broadminded one, and when we started this T.H.E. project it didn't cross my mind, that this is not metal anymore LOL

There are some really hard metal songs in the stock (if they will stay the way they are), but mostly the music has drifted to experimental post-punk. Thanks again for pointing that out Thumbs Up

I hope you stick around and check out the site. It's pretty good when it's working properly.
