Both bands have made some of my all time favorite albums, but it's Judas Priest quite easily for me. While I consider all the albums from Number of the Beast to Somewhere in Time to be a holy tetraology of albums, Dance of Death is the only other Maiden album to come close to those albums imo.

Judas Priest on the other hand, not only made a holy trilogy of albums from British Steel to Screaming for Vengeance, but many other masterpieces throughout their career as well. The only weak Priest albums in my book are the obvious suspects of Turbo and Demolition.

It´s 100% Iron Maiden for me, as I enjoy most of their releases. Judas Priest on the other hand, I only really enjoy a very small portion of their output. The first two are brilliant albums, but from there it doesn´t appeal to me much, other than the odd song here and there. I´ll be reviewing their discography at some point, and making more points about it.

Iron Maiden for me. I like Judas Priest a lot but I generally feel less inclined to play their albums in full as there are less that I really love as a whole.

Two of my favourite bands. I probably play Priest more often.

Both bands have had their weak patches and their strong periods in their career, but Iron Maiden's strong periods have gone on for longer and produced more material, and they've had far less weak spots than Priest. Priest get much respect for blazing the trail that early Maiden followed, of course.
