Final death metal poll, unless until death 'n' roll gets a full chart.

Death ruling the roost here and understandably, but I'm giving my vote to Nile's Annihilation of the Wicked.

Nile are always awesome but their latest What Should Not be Unearthed gets my vote.

Death's The Sound of Perseverance, one of my all time favorite albums.

Those Whom the Gods Detest.

If the Augury album had been their first one Concealed I'd have gone with them because that's my favourite death metal album of any type.

I with What Should Not be Unearthed, but it could have easily been either of the other two Nile albums here.

"Unquestionable Presence" is a desert Island album to me, so naturally it gets my vote.

I guess I need to look up this Atheist album then. It's actually the only one I haven't heard out of these.

All Atheist´s albums have a Unique sound and style. I´d start with Unquestionable Presence too if I were you. Just expect something unexptected. I know it took me quite a while to understand their charm. Especially Kelly´s angry goblin vocals are a bit of an aquired taste, but personally I love them. They are one of the features which make Atheist´s music so different from anything else.

Unexpected sounds quite promising - death metal's one of those genres where I've heard enough now that I can still appreciate something generic so long as its very well done, but most albums I try don't interest me too much. I think that's why I've got so into black metal again lately. It simply surprises me more often.

I not only love all of these but own every single one since tech death is one of my favorite metal subs. This is arbitrarily based on the moment but Death's Sound Of Perserverence is one of my top dogs and desert isle picks

I only have Colored Sands so that's an unfair vote maybe. I just came to look at this list because I've been looking into death metal bands recently.
A story told that can't be real somehow must reflect the truth we feel.

^ If you're looking to explore (tech) death metal even further than Nile would be a good band to start with. It's not without reason that they have several releases on this list.
