Besides checking out God Macabre, Sorcery and Gorement which are new discoveries to me I�ve been listening a lot to Dawn of Possession by Immolation lately:
 It was not a favorite of mine back when it was released but some things take time to appreciate and I have to say it�s one of the more interesting albums from the early New York scene.

I've just bought "Subconscious" by Terra Tenbrae... and the two seconds I've heard so far are not promising (but in all fairness, it was only two seconds, and the loudspeakers suck).

Immolation Is great. Theyre very over rated now a days but still fucking crushing. Anyone of you who hasn't heard of Sororicide or Morta Skuld needs to listen to them also.

That site is decent but theres a lot of good old school death metal/death metal demo blogspots that have a lot better bands to offer.

Mostly legal I'd believe, though some could say it's against good taste. I doubt many demos are properly copyrighted so that they couldn't be shared in blogs etc. I find blogs like that useful but some don't.

The demos are probably not a problem, but the description says EPs too. That could pose a problem.

I think I'm with Vehemency on this one. For the most part, I doubt all of those demos are properly copyrighted to prevent blogs like this. However, it's likely that there's at least one illegal EP download on the site... I could be wrong though. |

Has anyone heard of Deface? They're a pretty good German death metal act that released 2 demos in the mid-90's before disappearing into oblivion.
