I´ve been listening to "Nightmares Made Flesh" by Bloodbath these last few days. Í´ve almost forgot how great an album it is, so I thought I´d share a clip of the best track on the album and IMO one of the best old school Swedish death metal tracks ever recorded:

It was nice to see so many recommendations on here that I agree with; I like mainly old-school DM myself. I thought I'd share something from my favorite (new) OSDM, Demisery. I bought the debut album (Hive of Mutation) a few months ago, and every song is so solid, I listen to the whole thing over and over.

I´m usually not much of a fan of brutal technical death metal but Origin are definitely one of the better acts in the genre.

Some nods towards Nile. Especially in the way the growling vocals are delivered. It actually sounds pretty great. I´m gonna check it out a bit more when I get the time. Thanks for the recommendation.

^Yeah Catasexual Urge Motivation are a pretty fucked up act. No doubt about that. I´d put them in the goregrind catagory more than in death metal though and I don´t think they are more extreme than most of the acts in that genre.
