Looking forward for CASTRATOR's first EP!
The two tracks I've listened so far are just some ultra-brutal death-metal stuff, but I'm amused by the concept: an all-woman band singing about all the tortures women can make men suffer with... |

2015 has seen some excellent death metal albums released - below are some of what I consider to be the best although I'm sure there's some great ones I haven't had time to get to know or heard yet.
Feel free to add your own favourites.... Nile - What Should Not Be Unearthed Sulphur Aeon - Gateway To The Antisphere Unleashed - Dawn Of The Nine |

^I'll give those a shot.
Anybody like Morbus Chron here? I listened to their album Sweven and it reminded me a lot of Death, but with post-rock in the mix.

I did listen to something by them a while back but can't remember what they sound like to be honest.

Tribulation - The Children Of The Night.
Got to add this to the best of 2015 even though its not a pure death metal album. Edited by Nightfly - 19 Dec 2015 at 10:00am |

^It´s a pretty great album to my ears too. And you´re right it´s not a "straight" death metal release.

Have you considered that may be because it's not death metal? Cast your eye over on RYM, no death metal tags in primary or secondary positions.

I'm listening to that one now. Seems a real opinion divider. So far it's not screaming death metal at me but with that said, I'm not hearing where the heavy / gothic metal primary tagging on RYM is coming from either.

^It´s just one of those hybrid releases, that are impossible to place in a sub genre to everyone´s satisfaction.
