Releasing soon: 2017 in Metal, Hard Rock & Hardcore Punk (July - December).
This is the follow-up to this one: http://www.listchallenges.com/2017-in-metal-hard-rock-and-hardcore-punk I think that 500 albums was maybe a bit overwhelming on the first list, as it wasn't used by that many people compared to our other lists. Part two therefore will only feature 300 albums. Still big, but hopefully not too big. 15 albums to go and it'll be ready.

That's one of the reasons I've made these 2017 lists: to highlight what's out there. Quite a lot of albums had to be added to the site before being published.

Obviously they'll also be a more condensed 2017 list after the best of year result is in (it'll be interesting to see if anything gets in that wasn't included in either list), but they'll also be what I'm tentatively calling The Ultimate Version of 2017 in Metal, Hard Rock & Hardcore Punk, which is a combined version of the current two plus 200 bonus albums. For the ultimate fan of heavy music, naturally.

Complete remake, as the old one had too many repeat artists despite there being no shortage of industrial metal bands.

My stoner metal list is coming on slowly since I've been doing some other stuff and am trying to make it 100 different bands. I need 25 more.
After that I intend to look into doing a Sludge one since that doesn't appeared to have been covered yet.
