By non-metal, I'm figuring you mean stuff which doesn't appear on this site. In my case, that would be punk, of the So-Cal Bad Religion, NOFX variety.

Lol i cant believe i forgot punk on da list. Also prog rock is a sub genera within rock so if any of da others were for prog rock u coulda picked rock n said prog rock lol

While Metal and Hard Rock are and probably always will be my favorite genres, I do love a lot of music. After Metal, I'd say my favorites would be Electronic, Punk, Celtic Folk, Funk Rock, Blues Rock, and Classic Rock (which includes classic Prog bands) . Voted electronic as I've been on an electronic kick recently.
