Yes, the system is rigged. Unless it's a massive artist like Taylor Swift, things are all geared towards digital releases these days. Record companies have to book record pressings months in advance now. I've listened to a few podcasts where bands and indie labels are complaining that they can't get record pressings done for 9-18 months just due to lack of capacity.

Meanwhile, pirates have been listening to it for days judging by the amount of ratings RYM has for it already.

Ever feel like the system is rigged?

I pre-ordered the box set on 2nd Aug and not received it but I didn't pay postage so fair enough. My account is saying arriving Wednesday but Amazon don't appear to have any in stock so I've got a bad feeling. If they do delay it I might cancel and order elsewhere, if I can still get hold of one at a reasonable price.

Just watched Bleed From Within. Good if fairly generic metalcore. Slipknot about to appear. Should be a complete run-through of the first album.

Merry Christmas all! Here's a couple of songs which seem appropriate for the season...

The clutch on my car went kaboom on the way home from work today Cry. My car made it unto the freeway ramp where it´s now parked in the middle of the ramp. Bad place to strand, but my brother was nice and picked me up, so I can wait at home until my autohelp can pick the car up and drive it to my mechanic.

yeah the year has started great for me Ouch

Nope, but thankfully everything went as planned, and they car is now at the mechanic. so I just have too call him tomorrow and schedule a time for the repair. hopefully he´ll show some mercy and give me a quick spot. I can work from home without any issues, but I generally prefer working at my workplace and interacting with my colleagues face to face.

the weather forecast says snow tomorrow though, so maybe it´s not the worst day staying off the roads and work from home.

Still waiting for my car to by fixed, so I´ve been working from home all week. It´s not a problem, and I can do everything I need to do from home, but I usually prefer to work at the office, so honestlly I´m a bit tired of being at home by now. Hopfully I´ll have my car later today or at the latest monday or tuesday next week. Public transportation in the Copenhagen area is a nightmare from where I live to my workplace, and I would spend somewhere between 3 - 3,5 hours each day on transportation with bus and train if I chose that solution. Under good traffic conditions on the highway I can usually make it from where I live to my workplace in 25-30 minutes, so that´s a huge time difference, and if there´s one thing I hate more than anything, it´s to waste my time.

Good luck with that, Jonas. Not had mine out - the UK is a skating rink at the moment with ice and my car is rear wheel drive. It's like Bambi on ice- wouldn't buy one again.

I finally got my car back today with a new clutch Clap. I´ve felt handicapped without it, so I´m extremely happy about its return.

But with the car comes an invoice too of course Dead. It´s pretty much as expected but it´s still a bitch.

...and to make matters worse I also went to the dentist today...mmm yeah I now understand why my dentist drives a sportcar while I´m driving the smallest shittiest oldest car you can imagine. Let´s just say there´s no holiday for the family this year Cry...oh what the hell it could have been worse...no one died LOL...well if you disregard my bank account, because that one is stone dead.

Yeah, Christmas did the same thing to my bank accounts. Well, that and our old dog's vet bills.

In other news, the Sex Pistols are coming to town! Hoping me and my best mate can get tickets.

I'm a driving instructor and one of my pupils was the wife of a dentist. She was moaning about the price of driving lessons until I pointed out to her that what she pays me for an hour was about the same as 5 minutes with her husband doing a check up.
