KARMA TO BURN: Instrumental Stoner Rock Titans Release Two Arch Stanton Behind-The-Scenes Video Clips Via The Obelisk; Band Issues North American Tour Update
West Virginia instrumental stoner rock titans, KARMA TO BURN, who are currently in the midst of a gargantuan North American live takeover, are pleased to unleash a pair of Arch Stanton behind-the-scenes video clips. Produced by Snakehill Productions and currently playing courtesy of premiere riff portal, The Obelisk, the clips find the trio discussing preferred tracks, favorite vocalists, dead or alive, tour life and more!

Initially released in Europe last Summer via Switzerland-based Faba Records, KARMA TO BURN's groove-laden Arch Stanton long player became available by the label domestically earlier this month. The band's sixth studio album and third since reforming following their seven-year hiatus in 2009, Arch Stanton is reminiscent of their now iconic Wild Wonderful Purgatory and Almost Heathen offerings, channeling the true essence of the road-raging, riff rock ritual. The Sludgelord calls Arch Stanton, "a thrilling and explosive ride," that, "firmly puts KARMA TO BURN at the forefront of instrumental stoner rock," Metal Injection commends the band's long-standing, "fiery irreverence," further celebrating a record that's, "full of heart, soul and the occasional rocking surprise," while This Is Not A Scene opines in glowing 9/10 review of the record, "If each of the eight tracks on here don't have you nodding your head, or at least tapping your feet, then you may actually be dead." New Noise Magazine agrees, "The riffs on this album are absolutely jaw-dropping," Skulls 'N' Bones calls Arch Stanton, "intense and unbridled," and likens it to, "a speedy pill with no hangover," while The Signal notes poignantly, "Throughout the record, volcanic riffs... surge and snap over winding, propulsive bass in sinister, darkened tones. Cymbals crash and fall in a savage dance around the pounding rhythms. Each instrument comes together for smoldering jam after smoldering jam...KARMA TO BURN re-proves their competency as a meat and potatoes stoner metal band." Adds Dead Rhetoric in an 8/10 score, "Unsung as they are, KARMA TO BURN deserves a vast amount of credit for holding down the no-vocals fort, as well as remaining viable well into the latter stages of their career. If Arch Stanton proves anything, it's that the West Virginia trio were right all along, and, the rest of the instrumental metal brigade owes a vast amount of debt to the band who was the first out of the gate."
KARMA TO BURN are currently levying their blues-tinged, bong-ripping, riff decadence upon the ears of North American residents. Now more than half way through their extensive expedition, drummer Evan Devine checked in from their New Orleans stop late last week, "When we arrived at the venue, Siberia, we were treated to some genuine New Orleans music. The band was called The Salt Wives, all acoustic, brass, and accordion, and these guys were singing everything from Irish folk songs to Eastern bloc gypsy tunes, I think we heard four different languages over the course of their two sets. It ruled. We spent some time around Bourbon Street, but the majority of it was spent in a small corner diner called The Clover Grill. Best diner we've been to yet, and we've tried a lot of diners."
