Now:
New Mastodon, pretty damn good. It's like a good mix of the sludge mastery of Blood Mountain and the more psychedelic elements of Crack the Skye. I wonder how the whole thing will sound.

I still think the title track is incredible: Both very melodic yet still thrashy as fuck. The rest of the album seems quite good as well, about halfway through.

Yeah you should do that. I hear traces of early Metallica, but also quite a few traditional heavy metal elements, and it´s all delivered with a convincing attitude and great skill. Take a listen to this one for example:
