Though we're off to a bad start: It's a free download but the files are unsorted, so I have to go through three discs worth of content and get everything in the right order before I even start. Oh boy, that alone is quite the challenge. |
On the third disc now and still going. It's not really power metal, maybe USPM, but it mostly sounds like doom infused heavy metal (the track I just finished sounded like a really slow version of Enter Sandman, for example.) It's actually pretty good, though, if a bit long-winded.

 I'm finding this really frustrating. There are many hints of the old Running Wild sound here, more than either of the previous two albums I think, but they're still not there yet. An improvement for sure but I still find most of this unremarkable.

I clicked on this on Spotify thinking it was something new from the US Armory (it was on the same page and uses spacey art like the US band's last album, so easy mistake I guess) but it's actually a Swedish speed metal band. I've ended up listening to it anyway. It's not bad, but I prefer the US Armory by a large margin.

Brilliant as expected. A step up I think from their last album and could even one up Dawn of Infinity for me with a few more listens. I'm not sure yet but this one may even just be worth a power metal primary on RYM.
