I don´t know why Vale of Pnath are seldom mentioned when people talk about Obscura, Beyond Creation, Augury and their ilk, because they are a pretty brilliant band to my ears. Definitely recommended if you enjoy the above artists: http://www.metalmusicarchives.com/album/vale-of-pnath/ii[/QUOTE]...Again. I like this one. Edited by UMUR - 16 Jul 2016 at 1:38am |

Before:
http://www.metalmusicarchives.com/album/aquilus/griseus I'll get a review of this one up once Challenge Week is over. Now: http://www.metalmusicarchives.com/album/wolfchant/a-pagan-storm An old favourite I haven't spun lately. Melodic black metal with folk melodies.

Sounds interesting, I'll have to check it out. I usually enjoy melodic black metal.

I love it too, I'm not sure what my favorite Heart album is as I've been in the mood for them and re-listening to their albums. Bebe Le Strange is definitely a contender for my favorite. The only albums I don't like from them are their mid-late 80's/early 90's pop albums.

We have this one in folk here of course, but I'd say this is one of their most melodic black metal based releases. This is one of my favourite songs from it: Wolfchant's music has changed a fair bit since. Their latest is probably my favourite by them actually. Very different sound if you listen to both back to back: |
