I've been wondering this myself. I originally assumed these were all throwaways also finding it hard to believe anyone could write so much worth hearing but after i started listening to them i was surprised that i like a great many of them. Even if many are mediocre then at least 10 of them are really damn good and ten great albums in one year is still an achievement. I have come to the conclusion that some people think in music and a select few musicians are mega-geniuses that can pump things out at a staggering speed. Buckethead exhibits the same prolific output as artists like Mozart, Bach and others who have released hundreds of albums in their life the only difference is BH is like Zappa and Prince who release EVERYTHING whether they shoudl be or not. Still though i'm not sorry i started down the journey of hearing all his albums despite there being some turkeys in the lot |
