It really depends what you're looking for. This is a unique death metal album with slight progressive tendencies and melodic guitar solos, but it still has an old school death metal feel. Their following album, Spheres, is full-on progressive metal with jazzy guitar solos and lots of strange rhythms. Both of these albums are spectacular IMO, and I'd recommend them in a heartbeat. Thumbs Up

Consuming Impulse is also a classic old school death metal release of the more straightforward variety, and Malleus Maleficarum is considered by many to be a great extreme thrash release (I don't remember loving it, though). Their newer albums are mostly solid tech-death IMO, but nothing too special.

Hope that helps!

I think I'll start with Testimony of the Ancients, I love old school death metal but I also love bands that are unique. So depending on what I enjoy most from Testimony, I'll go from there. Thanks. Thumbs Up

I loved Testimony... back when it was released, but listening to it today, I like it even more. It´s truly a Unique sounding death metal release. I like it so much that I own it on both CD and vinyl Big smile

I like this band and have reviewed every single one of their releases (reviews in backlog, not posted yet). Every one of them is in a different style though, so it´s not necessarily obvious that it´s the same band playing on all of them.

Nice. I'd like to hear what you think of them. This one didn't grab me too much on first listen, but I expect I'll give it another chance sometime. Trying out a lot of USPM recently.
