Fondly dedicated to Jeff, Caio, Teo, and all the other DT fans.... Put this on to celebrate the purchase of our tickets for the DT/Iron Maiden double bill of July 20th in DC!

Congratz!
I saw DT last fall with Zappa Plays Zappa, Bigelf, and Scale the Summit. Everyone was awesome. |

We saw the same tour too, but were less than impressed by DT. The DC date had a great bonus, though - the presence of Queensryche, who are one of my favourite metal bands.

I'll agree that they should have played a set consisting of more classics, however, I'm pretty sure they had just finished a European tour for Black Clouds & Silver Linings.
Merely being in the presence of John Petrucci and Jordan Rudess was pretty humbling though. |

looks like we are going to see them again.. and both Raff and I have sworn to each other not to let one another walk out on DT this time... helps when there is Iron Maiden on after them.
I really thought they were sort of upstaged by Zappa plays Zappa.. sure most of the people were there for DT.. but was nice to see we weren't the only ones so unimpressed with DT after seeing ZpZ that we were heading to the parking lot after ..what.. was it 4 songs. anyhow... we'll give them another shot.. playing here.. |

Have fun at the DT/Maiden show! Two of my all-time favorite bands! And just try to suffer through that one Raff and Micky... who knows? Maybe you'll like it this time! |

Anyway, I thought ZpZ stood them up too, but not by much. It was pretty awesome how they started out with "I'm the Slime" just to get everybody in the theater banging their heads. My favorite band there was Bigelf, and I'm so thankful that I discovered them by going.
