I have a feeling that this album would be one of my favorites if Gene Hoglan was on the drum throne. The drumming here feels like it's holding Chuck back, and the awful snare sound doesn't do the album any favors either. Ermm

Yeah I never liked Bill Andrews drumming either. Neither in Death nor in Massacre. It´s still a Classic and one of the earliest examples of death metal though.

No doubt, Jonas. I actually decided to pick up a vinyl copy of this album today, so I'll be spinning it again over the next few days to see if my opinion changes. Smile The riffs and vocals are badass... it's just those damn drums!

Finally i can listen to back home again. man it had a bunch of stubborn skips on side 2 track 1 from a bubble. but i was able to fix them and can enjoy the album again

Never owned this one on CD, only on vinyl. In fact it was among the first 20 - 30 albums I owned. Damn that seems like forever ago now LOL
