I remember trying this on youtube and the vocal mixing sounded bad, but now just listening to the first track on Spotify, it sounds way better than the version of the second album I heard. I really hope that one gets added to Spotify soon, so I can hear it with good quality and maybe it'll go even better (it currently sits at 4 stars, but the poor sound made it hard to judge.)
The first song was brilliant! This seems better than their second album so far, but again, I really need to wait until I can hear a good version of that album before I judge it, because aside from the tribal parts, everything sounded so blurry it was hard to make out. This one already seems very atmospheric and very unique with its space atmosphere and electronic elements.
BTW, Adam, in your review for this you mentioned the vocals sounding like they're coming from a distance or that they're well behind the music in the mix. Well, to me if you listen closely, it doesn't actually sound like that, but it sounds like they took some of the electronic effects they have going on in the music and actually added that onto the vocals, to give it an extra effect. So that's why it sounds so unique and interesting compared to most black metal vocals, because it gives off an electronic kind of feel, but somehow they did in such a way that it sounds great and doesn't detract from the music. It's actually really impressive what they did.

^I did in fact give that 5 stars on first listen. I loved the ambient sections as the electronic effects on the vocals, and the atmosphere, and the heavier sections, and well, everything! I still need to hear the second album with better audio quality to judge it, but so far I'd say nothing on it struck me as being as unique or exciting as that album was.
An old favorite I had rated 5 stars on RYM back in 2012, well before I started getting into black metal. I'm interested to see if this will still hold up now. Just a bit into the first song, and....... YES! Still sounds awesome!

New one on Bandcamp should sound ok (haven't checked): https://avantgardemusic.bandcamp.com/album/oltreluna
My review of the first album is quite old and could probably do with some revising since I originally reviewed it as a 4.5 but upped it to 5.0 some time later, after getting the actual CD. Your description sounds about right regarding what they did with the vocals.

This album has many decent ideas but the production has to be the worst I've ever heard on a black metal album. I don't mean it's intentionally raw either, just really bad and crackly.
