I thought "should I?" because I'm not exactly big on prog. Got a surprisingly high 4.

I'm not surprised most here do better on prog. Always a general favourite. I find myself wondering which albums every has missed though.

Death metal next: https://www.listchallenges.com/adams-ultimate-top-20s-death-metal-albums
This was a real tough one to choose on since I don't listen to death metal that often and my ratings are certainly out of date in a lot of cases, so I ended up picking from releases I owned, avoiding any act I consider way more extreme prog (Lascaille's Shroud is the only act that got a pass for both this and my prog list). One exception to picking from what I own is the Enthean album, which I always would have bought if I could have got a hold of it.

18/20. Would have been very surprised if I didn't get a high score on this one.

7/20 on your death metal list. It would be very different to my list if I did one.

Yeah I got 4, but I basically only listen to Death, Entombed and Bolt Thrower for that genre

Only 11, and I do enjoy a bit of USPM.

11 for me too on US power metal. Vicious Rumors is my favourite USPM band noticeable by their abscence.

I actually quite like them. But I don't have a single album that I really know that well.

Tried to do a thrash one. It's a no go for now. Maybe if I do thrash and speed metal together.
For now, doom metal is quite a bit easier: https://www.listchallenges.com/adams-ultimate-top-20s-doom-metal-albums

I'd recommend their self-titled album from 1990 (I think without looking the date up) as a good starting point to explore more.
