 Brilliant. Can't believe these aren't more well known as far as Samurai movies go. Currently about an hour into the second part, just about to break for dinner. Hopefully I'll be able to fit the whole trilogy in by tonight.

 I have a great love for Moomins that endures to this day.  This wasn't so great though. I hold very fond memories of the 1990s anime of them.

 Very solid western meets film noir movie. There are a few issues with the plot that prevent it from being true upper echelon, but overall it's a good example of this genre mix.
