Okay, I was already shocked after the first listen but now on my third listen I really have to wonder what's happened here, because I didn't like their debut much at all, but this is just totally blowing my socks off, despite sounding pretty similar. I really need to revisit their debut, to see if this is actually that much better, somehow, or if my taste in the genre has changed that dramatically.

Any thoughts on where this one should be placed Nicole? I'm leaning towards black metal over folk this time.

It's a tricky one. If we had that Pagan Black Metal sub we've talked about I'd move it in a heartbeat but just tagging it as Black Metal doesn't cut it for me, though I suppose in practice doing so would be no different to placing war metal acts as just Black Metal until we get those subs. But I am thinking this one is more based in black than folk metal. I've voted it up for now, but I'm not even sure the co-primary of Pagan Black Metal and Folk Metal on RYM is necessary.
