Finished up my annual "Twisted Christmas" movie marathon with these three.... A tongue-firmly-in-cheek horror comedy that reveals Santa (played by wrestler Bill Goldberg) is actually the son of Satan, and after 1000 years of forced "goodness" he's finally free to maim and kill unless some small town teens can stop him. Tasteless, violent, funny as hell. Silent Night, Deadly Night Part 5: The Toy Maker (1991) In the fifth and (mercifully) final installment of the SN, DN series a mother and her son are targeted by lethal play things. This Yuletide mash up of Puppet Master and Pinocchio was dumb as a box of rocks but it had some cool gore/creature effects. The Hebrew Hammer (2005) Adam Goldberg stars as Mordechai Jefferson Carver, aka "The Hebrew Hammer" - a pimped out Hasidic bad-ass who's called into action when Santa's crazed son (Andy Dick at his coked-out best) takes over operations at the North Pole and plans to wipe Hanukkah off the calendar. A very funny holiday themed blaxploitation/action parody ala "Undercover Brother" or the "Austin Powers" flicks. I fell in love with this movie as soon the hero walked into a bar full of skinheads, whipped out two giant guns, and yelled "SHABBAT SHALOM, MOTHERF***ERS!" :D

^After watching Martyrs and Hostel, I´ve had enough of those torture porn flix. I´m just too much a pussy for those types of films. I can´t stomach them.

In this lame third installment in the slasher-Santa series, a psychic girl accidentally "connects" with the comatose killer from the last movie, who wakes up and follows her to her Granny's house to crash their family Christmas celebration. You can probably figure out the rest. Dull, poorly acted, slow paced junk. "Silent Night, Deadly Night 4: Initiation" (1990) The fourth "SNDN" film has no connection to the earlier installments, which is a good thing. This time a reporter investigating a murder finds herself being drawn into a coven of witches - but to get into the club she'll have to perform a human sacrifice on Christmas Eve. Yikes, I hate when that happens!

Agreed.  On that note, been watching some Broken Lizard movies such as Club Dread and Super Troopers. Comedies also worth watching. |
