I've often found that it's the case that when I finally see a film that has been really hyped that I come away from it feeling underwhelmed. This was not one of those films.

Much better than I anticipated although it was relatively predictable.

They really fucked up the time loop on it. Spoiled it for me.

^You should check out some Hitchcock films, particularly North By Northwest, Dial M For Murder, The 39 Steps, and Torn Curtain.

Undoubtedly though Tarantino has quickly ranked among my favourite film directors along with Guillermo Del Toro (I must re-watch Pan's Labyrinth and The Devil's Backbone soon, as well as finally see The Shape of Water) and Martin Scorsese.

I'm really torn on which one is my favourite still. For me, this, the two westerns and Pulp Fiction are all top tier while two Kill Bill's and Reservoir Dogs aren't far behind.
I still have Jackie Brown and Death Proof to see of his main films, plus the co-directed Four Rooms.

^that's my favorite Tarantino movie, because it's stupidly entertaining but actually surprisingly clever as well. Also, Brad Pitt speaking some "authentic" Italian alone makes it a masterpiece

Korean horror film. Very good but I think it could have been trimmed down a bit. Two and a half hours seems too much for a horror title to me. Another excellent Tarantino. I really enjoyed his take on alternate history with this one.

Got round to seeing Deadpool 2 yesterday. Difficult to critique except to say, it’s Deadpool. Loved it.

I also re-watched Logan Lucky with my Dad after watching it on my own last month. He liked it too.

Another Scorsese. This one is rated lower on RYM but I really enjoyed it.

Managed to get the next two MCU movies off of ebay so watched Avengers: Age of Ultron yesterday. Enjoyed it though not in my top 3 MCU movies so far. Planning to watch Ant-Man later today and then I can watch Captain America: Civil War on Netflix. I'll be caught up to 2016 then so hopefully the next few movies will appear on Netflix in time if I don't chance on them in second hand shops first.
