For some reason, Dominion are classified as a death metal band. This albums certainly is not a death metal album at all, and to be honest, it is not really interesting metal either (at least, I do not find it interesting). Their tracks certainly have drive and energy, and the band deserves credit for that, but nothing really interesting happens in their songs, and "Blackout" quickly becomes a quite boring listen, the music striking me as being quite dated. In a way, the band's brand of alternative sounds a bit like sped up slugde metal (and sludge metal just isn't my style).
If one is into 90s post-grunge metal, there are other more interesting acts out there than Dominion. But, compared to a lot of alternative metal and alternative rock bands, there is more drive to Dominion's "Blackout".
