Dethroned Christ is a Brazilian black metal band formed in 1994 by Fleuretty (vocals), FDaemon (guitars), Warlord (bass) and Lord Diaboullus (drums) former members of Bael and Ethan with the purpose to make a morbid, raw, aggressive and brutal sound.
Influenced by the ancient hordes like Bathory, Venom, Possessed, Sodom, Poison(Ger), Root, Master Hammers and Motorhead, they released “In my Journey to the Necromancy's Ritual” in 1995, a demo with four songs, including “In Conspiracy with Satan”, Bathory’s cover. In 1997, after a break of two years, the band released “In my Journey to the Necromancy's Ritual” in the split called “We are the Fist in the face of God with another Brazilian band Goat Prayers.
During the coming years, the band members dedicated their time involved in many activities in the metal scene, such as parallel bands and zines.
