In early 2001 CFS recorded their first EP - 'Through the Precious Words' in the famous Battery Studios, London with producer and friend Mark Williams. The three track EP was well received and proved a useful tool in promoting the band in their early days.
The partnership with Mark continued as CFS recorded a further two track demo in 2001 / 02. The song 'Even A Stopped Clock Tells The Right Time Twice A Day' was originally recorded to feature on a compilation CD for hardcore label Blackfish. This unfortunately never happened, as in late 2001 CFS split from original singer Craig Bailey. However the band used the vocal-less recording to audition potential new vocalists,
