Corpus Mortale was formed in early 1993. From the beginning the intention was to play pure and aggressive death metal. In the early years the band received great recognition in the underground through the demo’s “Corpus Mortale” 1995 and “Integration” 1996 and also through numerous successful concerts in Denmark and Germany. In 1999, only five months after recording the third demo “Spiritim” 1998, both of the guitar players left the band. After the break Martin and Nicholas continued writing songs and the music took a new direction when Brian Eriksen and Jens Lee (both formerly of Iniquity) joined Corpus Mortale. With this new line-up the band entered the studio in late 2000 to record “Succumb To The Superior” which proved to be the last official demo of the band.
