Benevolent is an Lebanese extreme metal band based in Kuwait. It was founded by brothers Hadi and Fadi Sarieddine in 2007 under the name Emminence and initialy was a cover band for music by bands such as Opeth, Tool. In mid 2009 guitarist Adel Al-Qattan and drummer Bader Nana joined the band. Soon after that the band stared writing original material for their first EP wich was launched under the name ''The Tyrant'' in early 2010 Adel Al-Qattan and Bader Nana had departed from the band. In december 2009 the band entered the studio and begun writing new material for what has become the band's debut EP under the Benevolent name. On November 5, 2010, the band released its debut EP titled Divided wich is available exclusively for free download on the band's Bandcamp page.
