ATROPHIA RED SUN are a Polish progressive/ melodic death metal act formed in 1994 in Cracow. The band released their debut full-lenght studio album "Painfull Love..." in 1995 through Croon Records. The musical style on the album was doom metal. The band´s second full-length studio album "Fears" was released in 1997 by Morbid Noizz Productions. The album featured a change in musical style towards progressive/ melodic death metal. The next six years were troubled times for the band in terms of many lineup changes. Both guitarists and the bassist left the band. All three founding members. With new bassist Grzegorz "Felix" Feliks and LUX OCCULTA guitarist Rafal "Kastor" Kastory now handling all guitars ATROPHIA RED SUN released a couple of promo/ demo releases in 2001 and 2002. Drummer Pawel Wegrzyn was replaced by Milosz "Milo" Likowski in 2003. The band released their third full-length studio album "Twisted Logic" in 2003.
