Wayne Static was the frontman and vocalist/guitarist of industrial metal band Static-X born in 1965 in Michigan. He first started learning the guitar at the age of seven. After moving to Chicago, he formed the band Deep Blue Dream with Ken Jay, Eric Harris, and The Smashing Pumpkins's Billy Corgan in 1987. However, the group was short-lived and Static-X was soon formed. After the disbanding of Static-X in 2013, Wayne Static was set to co-headline a tour with Powerman 5000, but unfortunately he died at the age of 48 in 2014 before the tour started.
Wayne Static was easily recognizable for his strange hair style and 'chintail' beard. He only released one solo album, which would be his final album release.
