Spider were a hard rock band from Liverpool, England formed in 1976. The band were Dave Bryce (Sniffa) - Guitar Colin Harkness - Vocals/Guitar Robbie Burrows - Drums Brian Burrows - Bass.
They were locally labelled as a crazy, headbanging, merseyboogie band; Paul Suter (Sounds, 01/03/80) said "Over the top (a highly appropriate phrase in Spider's case) is a brutal guitar onslaught, lead, rhythm and bass all thrashing away like madmen on their way to boogie heaven." Spider actually had a decent career compared to most of their compadres of the NWOBHM era. They released several singles and three full length albums. The low-down on this band is that they were totally a Rock N Roll party band. However, their music is very cool.
