Shadowblade is a progressive metal band from Edmonton, Canada. Formed in 2006 by Jasio Kulakowski with the original intentions of stirring up the Canadian metal scene with styles of power metal commonplace to European soil, Shadowblade has since evolved both in sound and intent to a progressive phenomenon widely appreciated by fans of very different kinds of music. While maintaining roots in heavy and powerful metal, the intention of Shadowblade's music is to provoke or inspire an emotional connection to the listener and to strengthen the captivation with the mood of the music either by lyrical imagery or exciting musical tangents.
