Noothgrush is a sludge metal band formed in early 1994 around San Jose, California, USA. Lyrically, the band is heavily focused on self-hatred, general misanthropy and Star Wars.

The band name is a reference to the Dr. Seuss book "There's A Wocket In My Pocket", where a "noothgrush" appears annoyingly on the main character's toothbrush.

Noothgrush went on a hiatus in 2001. The band briefly resurfaced in 2006.
