KSIZ is a progressive metal band from Strasbourg, France comprised of the duo of Mathieu Spaeter on guitar and Jimmy Pallagrosi on drums. Supported by a strong cast of session musicians the duo worked on and recorded their debut album "Sandcrawler" in 2007. The album consisted of instrumental pieces with a predominant metal approach that resembled the work of progressive rock giants like Dream Theater and Planet X. Still, the album wasn't entirely on the metal side, featuring a mix various musical styles such as jazz, funk and jazz rock/fusion.
After five years KSIZ returned to the scene with the release of their second album "Nerve Of War". Published in 2012 on the Musea Parallèle label, the album follows a similar approach to music making as their debut release although with a more focused approach to the progressive metal genre.
