Nachdem sich ihre letzten beiden Bands, Gloom und Stay, aufgelöst haben, schreiben Stefan und Heiko zwei songs zusammen (jester's funeral & bolysseus' cult).
4/1996
Die Suche nach geeigneten Bandmitglieder endet in Holger (bass) und Bastian (drums). Zu diesem Zeitpunkt entscheiden Stefan und Heiko sich die Gesangsarbeit zu teilen.

Die Band nennt sich Jester's Funeral und beginnt mit dem Songwriting.
6/1996
Die Band hat ihren ersten Auftritt auf einer Rochusbergparty in Bingen und spielt 5 songs (jester's funeral, bolysseus' cult, make my day, carpe diem and time) vor 300 Leuten.
8/1996
Das erste Demo Walpurgisnight mit 8 Songs wird veröffentlicht.
2/1997
Die Band spielt im Winter einige Auftritte in der Umgebung von Bingen.
3/1997
Neue Lieder werden geschrieben.
