GX is an instrumental progressive metal quartet from Lima, Peru. The birth of GX itself came from Giovani Viale's desire to explore his musicianship as a keyboardist, after years as a drummer in many heavy metal bands in Lima's underground scene through the late 80s and the 90s. In the new millenium he moved to fulfill this dream, signing up guitarist Goyo Rojas, bassist Kike Fuentes and drummer Julio Campos to his project. After releasing their debut EP "Cuarta Coordenada" in 2007, GX's activities became a bit irregular, and the band suffered some line-up changes before stabilising late in 2010.
