EVANS BLUE is a Canadian post-grunge/alternative rock band formed in Toronto, Ontario in 2005.
The band was formed early in 2005 with five musicians gathered from 3 different bands who met via a musician messaage board. The name, suggested by lead singer Kevin Matisyn, refers to the dye injected into the bloodstream in order to measure the volume of blood.
After recording three demo songs that were released on the band's MySpace page, EVANS BLUE released their first album, "The Melody and the Energetic Nature of Volume" in February (US) and September (Japan) in 2006.
