Digression Assassins is a Swedish mathcore / progressive metalcore band formed in 2005 by drummer Andres Breuer and guitarist Mattias Sahlsrom.
After completing the lineup, the band self-released an EP, ''Next Step Can Only Be Supposed'', in June 2006. Shortly thereafter the band was signed to Ampire Records, and put out their debut full-length, Omega in June 2008. Alpha was released as their second full-length in September 2011. A second EP, Heavy Waters was released by the band in January 2013.
The band on their website explain; "Digression Assassins creates the sort of music that will take you out of your comfort zone and demand that you think. With...angular stabs of guitar,obsessive-compulsive percussion and haunted vocals it’s music that will rearrange your understanding of what heavy music should, and can, sound."
