The release of the Unspoken Words album through Year of the Sun Records marked a kicking off point for Derelict, with increased media exposure and critical acclaim.
"Our goal has always been to combine far-ranging elements of metal and music in general, and we feel that with this album we've gotten much better at doing that,” says vocalist Eric Burnet. “We'll hit you with some brutal death metal, but infused with catchy melodies surrounded by progressive chaos and completely unexpected influences.”
