Death metal band from Christchurch, New Zealand. Demise played music in the vein of Morbid Angel, often covering "Chapel Of Ghouls" in their live set. Formed as a three piece, the band added a second guitarist for live performances, but only recorded as a three piece. Demise was considered the leading band of the Christchurch death metal scene.
The band released a demo ("Festation") in 1992 and a self-titled EP in 1993 before splitting up.
