For quite some time Harek had been bugging Victor about starting an old school band together, because Harek loved Victor and Carlos' other band "Another Kind Of Death", and Victor would always say that they should and do it with Carlos too.
Then John left NYC and came to live to Madrid and went to see Fields On Fire (AKOD's side project) practice. Fields On Fire's drummer was late, so John and Victor started jamming together. After seeing John play, Victor said two things: "you are my best friend" to John and "we're starting a band this week" to Harek.
Since John and Harek had already started an old school band that week, the guys chose to do something more metalcore-styled because Carlos had wanted to start a Throwdown-like band.
