Becoming Arcturus is a progressive metalcore band from "a small backwoods town north-east of Pittsburgh" in Pennsylvania, formed in 2010.

Becoming Arcturus was formed in the summer of 2010 after a previous disbandment and regrouping of old friends. After a dozen or so shows, the five-piece hit the studio in December to record their debut EP.
'Empyrean', the highly-anticipated release that was intended for early winter was soon called off when two members suddenly left. Now after a winter of regrouping and re-piecing their distinctive Progressive Metalcore sound with a couple new faces, the band is ready to present something new to the scene and doesn't plan to quit until they reach the top.
