Formed in 2005, Awaiting Dawn is a melodic progressive metal band from Bingen in Germany.

Awaiting Dawn cites a portfolio of bands as influences, including Wolverine, Porcupine Tree, Dream Theater, Fates Warning, Tool, Redemption, Pain of Salvation, Vanden Plas, Meshuggah, Satyricon, Riverside etc., classical composers, Jazz.

The line-up of Awaiting Dawn at the end of 2013 was Benjamin Reiter ( Lead Vocals & Guitar), Wolfgang Schneider (Guitar), Peter Schnur (Keyboards & Backing Vocals), Maik Seckler (Bass) and Felix Benz (Drums).
