AREA51 was formed by Yoichiro Ishino, who had great admit ions to pursue his ideal heavy metal music.

In March 2010, the third album "Goddess" was released. This album was miixed by Jens Bogren (James LaBrie, Symphony X, Paradise Lost, Soilwork, Opeth etc)

In March 2008, the second album "Daemonicus" was released. This album was ranked at #66 on Japanese Major Music Ranking. Guest vocals by Rob Rock, the well known singer of IMPELLITTERI.

First album "Ankh" was released in 2005. In "BURRN!", Japan's most reputable music magazine, the album was introduced as one of six best neo-classical metal albums.
