ACTRESS picture
Actress was a German mathcore / grindcore / hardcore band from Wiesbaden in Hessen, formed in 2010. Actress disbanded after its last gig at the Kulturzentrum Schlachthof in Wiesbaden, Hesse in 2010.

Actress' style was influenced by bands like Botch, Converge and Ed Gein. The minimal lineup of guitar, bass and drums was always maintained despite various changes of formation. In their texts, the band often referred to the intermediate states of dream and reality treated in films such as Mulholland Drive, The Machinist or Oldboy and the effects of insomnia and amnesia.
