Hear the drummer get wicked...
Genre: thrash metal / hardcore / rap
"Attak of the Killer B's" is a mixed bag of B-sides, cover songs, live songs and previously unreleased material and does not count as a proper full-length release.
A lot of the tracks, like "Milk (An Ode to Billy)", "Startin' Up a Posse", "I'm the Man '91" and the hair metal power ballad parody "N.F.B. (Dallabnikufesin)", emphasize humor. Tracks like "Milk (An Ode to Billy)", "Chromatic Death" and "Chromatic Death" are more hardcore punk than thrash metal, and "Bring the Noise" and "I'm the Man '91" are rap/hiphop songs. "Keep it in the Family" and "Belly of the Beast" are live tracks.
The stand-out tracks, for my money, are "Milk (An Ode to Billy)", "Bring the Noise" and the souped-up surf rocker "Pipeline".
"Attack of the Killer B's" probably appeals to fans of the band only, as other metalheads might not appreciate its inclusion of so much non-metalness. I don't think it's a bad record, but I'll give it two stars in accordance with the description of that rating "Colloectors/fans only". However, anyone who is open-minded and interested in a "different" metal album should go and get "Attack of the Killer B's".
