WARBRINGER WORLDS TORN ASUNDER reviews

Specialists/collaborators reviews

Stephen
I was impressed with WARBRINGER's debut, still feels pretty good with the second, but then a thought struck my mind that the band seems to be trapped in a monotonous circle, and even though 'Worlds Torn Asunder' far from bad, fans who have bought the first two probably will think that it's only obligatory to buy this if they want to complete the WARBRINGER collection.

The first three are awesome piece of old school thrash. 'Living Weapon' and 'Shattered Like Glass' really cracks up some glasses with a thunderous rhythm and 'Wake Up .. Destroy' has some real highlights on the riffs and dynamic tempos. But after that, it seems to slowly roll down the hill. 'Treacherous Tongue' picked up a bit, a very nice melodic interlude there, but shame it's way too short.

'Echoes From The Void' is pretty interesting by inserting a smooth acoustical intro before erupting to a fast paced beast, but as far as it goes, this song can't beat the early side of this album nor their earlier effort. 'Behind The Veils of Night' is a slow instrumental which I think is unnecessary and definitely passable filler.

If you like to start listening to WARBRINGER, I suggest to pick up 'War Without End' first, but even if you ended up with this album first, this one's harmless Bay Area style, a typical OVERKILL and EXODUS style thrash, only so far, in my opinion it's their weakest to date.
